About this deal

This one is a little similar to the Frozen Fossil game, only this time using a sandpit with hidden dinosaurs to dig up. Again plastic dinosaur toys are a great option, and you may want to use plastic eggs such as those available around Easter time as ‘dino eggs’. Give the kids some sandpit digging tools and away they go. HOT DINOSAUR EGG Dinosaur Tail Stomp: This game is great fun! Tie a long piece of string around one child’s waist with a balloon attached to the end. They must run around while the other children try to pop it! Cut dinosaur-shaped footprints out of construction paper and tape these on the walkway leading into the house for guests to follow. Pin the Tooth on the T-Rex: Another fun version of ‘pin the tail on the donkey’ is pin the tooth on the T-Rex! All you need is a big picture of a T-Rex and some teeth cut out of white paper!

Dinosaurs are a fun way for kids to get more excited about science in general and that is always a good thing.Ice Age: A few days before the party, freeze small plastic dinosaurs in little water containers. When the guests arrive take them to a kiddie pool filled with water and spill in all the frozen dinosaurs. Each kid gets to thaw a dinosaur out of the ice covering it, once they do so, they get to keep the dinosaur and take it home as a party favor! The colors for the party can be earthy tones like greens, orange and browns. These go great with a dino theme. Dino Egg on a Spoon: You’ll need dessert spoons, hard-boiled eggs, silly putty eggs, plastic Easter eggs with a little present inside to weigh it down (possibly with a little dino), or any other form of “egg”. The goal here is to run from a starting point to a finishing line with an egg on a spoon. If the egg is dropped, the kid has to start again. You can work this as either a competition between teams, an individual timed race on an obstacle course, or just see who can make it the farthest without dropping their egg. This is one of those dinosaur games that have lots of laughs in store for everyone. Triceratops was a plant-eating dinosaur. The big horns on its head were for defending itself from predators. Tyrannosaurus was definitely a meat-eater and movies like Jurassic Park have made this dinosaur a big-time favorite and one that can scare people to death!

Children all seem to have a big fascination with dinosaurs. What’s not to love, right? They are big, unusual and some are kind of scary. Much like the classic game of hot potato, have kids sit in a circle and give one a large filled water balloon, egg (a football is a great makeshift egg) or just a standard ball. Start the music and have the kids pass the ‘egg’ around the circle. Once the music stops, the person left holding the egg is extinct – out of the game. Continue until there is only one child left. DINOSAUR EGG HUNT Our Favorite Giant Board Games – Board games are one of my favorite ways to celebrate a family game night or a long weekend. Something about all of us gathering around for some healthy competition! Now the weather is getting warmer it is a great time to take that fun outside! That is why I LOVE these fun Giant Board Games.Go on a dinosaur dig! This is a fun activity and easy to create. Get a small child’s swimming pool and fill it with dirt or sand. Bury some dinosaur bones in the sand and let kids dig for bones.
