About this deal

Fast forward to 2020, I was Marie Kondo-ing my collection and rediscovered this. It is incredible. Warm, deep, smoky vanilla and creamy jasmine, with a hint of orange blossom, sweet Tonka, and something rich. This is grown up and sexy and full bodied and clean and inviting, and lasts all day and night. I would wear it forever but can't find a replacement, so I now have half a bottle to last every special occasion for the rest of my life.

Before we continue to the next chapter, I want you to test yourself with the final fifth step and do a simple test which I call a “ 10-day no perfume challenge“.

Pharmacy product

The sillage is a 10 and longevity 10, most sillage and lasting power of any perfume I've tried. I get woody, vanilla and a lot of powder. I do get a green smell in the beginning which I don't like but it gets better when it dries down. Can smell wafts of vanilla when on the move but very subdued this is strictly moss the same moss that made vintage hypnotic poison so deep and powerful that’s why it was discontinued

By working with a variety of trusted Range Plus Partners, we’re able to offer our customers a wider selection of products. According to Health Impact News article, “Fragrances contain chemicals that have narcotic-like properties. The substances might not produce a traditional narcotic high, but they do cause dependency, which triggers the need for repeated use of the product to avoid the discomfort and irritability of withdrawal.”This is a very good fragrance, good-quality stylish and somewhat oriental. I feel here perfectly all the components of the base- tonka, sandalwood and vanilla. Exactly them, I feel right from the start and up to the finish. Unlike other Dior releases, Addict wasn’t revolutionary in introducing novel structures or ideas, but it is a successful hybrid of classics from the past and I absolutely admire it. Not sure if Dior's parfums section had anything to do with their fashion department at the time, but given that Galliano's more is more artistic direction was all over Dior in early 00's, the nature of Addict does start to make some sense. What comes to reformulations my bottle is a 2004 vintage and having sampled the current 2014 version I can conclude it isn’t nearly as disastrous as some claim. In fact it's very good and clearly a labour of love. The original is much spicier, woodier and resinously heavy on cinnamon and nutmeg, closer to the spirit of Opium, whereas the 2014 formulation is more bourbon vanillic with white florals on the front respecting the contemporary gourmand trends. The 2014 reformulation is also noticeably drier, almost chalky, and surprisingly brinds to mind the chalky jasmine in Caron's 3eme Homme! Sillage and longevity are through the roof, but as always, vintage reigns supreme. Long live the cult of Addict! During the last decade, I have seen two different kinds of perfume collectors. Those who are happy with few fragrances and those who own many.
