Warm, deep, smoky vanilla and creamy jasmine, with a hint of orange blossom, sweet Tonka, and something rich. This is grown up and sexy and full bodied and clean and inviting, and lasts all day and night. I would wear it forever but can't find a replacement, so I now have half a bottle to last every special occasion for the rest of my life.

The sillage is a 10 and longevity 10, most sillage and lasting power of any perfume I've tried. I get woody, vanilla and a lot of powder. What comes to reformulations my bottle is a 2004 vintage and having sampled the current 2014 version I can conclude it isn’t nearly as disastrous as some claim. In fact it's very good and clearly a labour of love. The original is much spicier, woodier and resinously heavy on cinnamon and nutmeg, closer to the spirit of Opium, whereas the 2014 formulation is more bourbon vanillic with white florals on the front respecting the contemporary gourmand trends. The 2014 reformulation is also noticeably drier, almost chalky, and surprisingly brinds to mind the chalky jasmine in Caron's 3eme Homme! Sillage and longevity are through the roof, but as always, vintage reigns supreme. Long live the cult of Addict! During the last decade, I have seen two different kinds of perfume collectors.
