About this deal

Comparing to the FF, at the same resolution setting, this is far superior, and with the addition of Cura as the Slicer, faster on many prints too. To start, when attaching the XZ gantry to the base, you might notice that the bolt doesn’t thread in that easily. Or at least, this is what we experienced on our machine.

There is a long-held myth about budget 3D printers that they sacrifice performance to achieve low cost, which is certainly not true for the Neo printers. If you are on a budget and do not want to invest too much in 3d printing, then I recommend the Ender 3 Max Neo, which will meet your needs for printing large models with generally satisfactory results. If you have difficulty deciding which series to choose, just keep in mind that the main differences between the Neo and S1 series are extruder type and price. I was most impressed by the bridging test where the 3D printer has to link two raised points with a horizontal “bridge” without support. The Max Neo’s bridges were flawless in this test. The filament holder is easy to attach, simply hook the end of the holder over the top of the grooves on the side of the base. It’s possible to piece together an inexpensive, rudimentary Ender 3 enclosure with no more than a sheet of plastic, a basic frame made of PVC, for example, and strong adhesive like duct tape. And, realistically, there’s no better sign of quality than when numerous other 3D printer manufacturers base their own firmware on Marlin… These can help filter out toxic fumes and funnel hot air away from the Ender 3’s more sensitive components, such as the power supply and other electronic parts. Effects of Temperature of the Ender 3’s Hardware

We specifically tested the Ender 3 Max Neo with taller 3D prints to see if we could detect any Z banding, but the results were excellent. You’ll see these further down in this review. Creality includes a basic tool kit with the Max Neo and while at first, I was skeptical of their usefulness, I find myself reaching for these tools time and again. The BigTreeTech SKR Mini V3.0 Mainboard stands next to Creality’s own option as one of the best ways to upgrade the Ender 3 controller board. The Creality Ender 3 Max Neo is a surprisingly good 3D printer. It has a solid build quality and the print quality is better than we expected based on its specifications. Cable passages and velcro retainers feature on all sides, along with an air vent port, and even an in-built thermometer for monitoring. The top panel features a velcro panel for the Ender 3’s spool holder to sit outside the enclosure. On Creality’s CR-10 Smart Pro flagship, the frame is reinforced with diagonal braces. Even though its total print height is 400 mm, such an upgrade could be practical on the Ender 3 Max Neo as well. As of now, the Neo series with Bowden extruder and S1 series with direct extruder form the latest Ender 3 fleet.

At 3DSourced, we have personally owned, tested and reviewed the Ender 3 V2 Neo, and Ender 3 S1 Pro. An automatic leveling system instead uses a small probe near the hot end to measure the distance of the nozzle from the bed. As the printer lowers the nozzle closer to the print bed, the probe detects when the nozzle has reached the desired offset. Since this accounts for the position of the bed, the nozzle can be positioned correctly regardless of the position of the print bed. Overall, this means that the 3D printer will print the first layer more accurately, and you won’t need to worry about adjusting the leveling knobs even after many prints. If you’re looking for something more robust with the wattage to tear through pretty much any material, we recommend the Endurance 15 W Laser. Ender-3 Max Neo features the function of detecting filament runout or breakage/power loss and resuming printing after recovery. By accurately recording the printing data at the time of power outage/filament runout or breakage, it helps to avoid the waste of filaments and time caused by accidents. 5. What I like

CR Touch auto-leveling improves the efficiency by automatically measuring and adjusting the 25-point print height on the heat bed, making leveling much easier. The board is sized to fit snugly into the Ender 3, making it a fairly painless drop-in replacement that even beginners won’t find too daunting. If you want ease and convenience and want to avoid having to tweak code yourself, then Creality’s selection of official firmware updates is the way to go.

Premium Meanwell power supply - We always use these when replacing the power supply in our older Creality 3D printers, but it’s included from the factory on the Ender 3 Max and Ender 3 Max Neo. We can confirm that these power supplies are more reliable, and we haven’t had one fail yet on any of our printers. The model of the hand is also very successful, only in some details are not perfect, but in general I am very satisfied. Verdict: Ender 3 Max Neo vs. Ender 3 Max These fumes can have hazardous consequences when breathed in. Similarly, many heat-sensitive filament types produce unpleasant odors, which an enclosure can help reduce, which is useful if you can’t set up the printer in a well-ventilated area. At this point, we’ve covered Creality’s user interface for the V4.2.x-type boards plenty of times. It’s the same one found on all budget Ender 3-series machines and is more than enough for most users. An enclosure protects a printer from dust and debris when not in use, extending its lifespan and minimizing the need for regular cleaning.
