About this deal

Once, a long time ago, I walked down a night-darkened road called Firefly Lane, all alone, on the worst night of my life, and I found a kindred spirit. That was our beginning. More than thirty years ago. TullyandKate. You and me against the world. Best friends forever. But stories end, don't they? You lose the people you love and you have to find a way to go on. . . .

I encourage readers to peruse FIREFLY LANE before beginning this book, although FLY AWAY is also a stand alone novel.Once, a long time ago, I walked down a night-darkened road called Firefly Lane, all alone, on the worst night of my life, and I found a kindred spirit. That was our beginning. More than thirty years ago. TullyandKate. You and me against the world. Best friends forever. But stories end, don't they? You lose the people you love and you have to find a way to go on... Marah eventually goes to rehab and begins to turn her life around, while Lucas begins to open up and deal with his grief. Through it all, Tully learns to forgive herself for the mistakes she has made, and the characters come to realize the power of forgiveness and the importance of family and friendship.

A single, tragic choice and a middle-of-the-night phone call will bring these women together and set them on a poignant, powerful journey of redemption. Each has lost her way, and they will need each one another--and maybe a miracle--to transform their lives. I received a copy of this novel from the publisher and Netgalley (thank you!) in return for an unbiased review; it is available everywhere as of 03/28/2017. These first nine [episodes] that are going to drop, you will discover what it is that has really fractured that relationship," Actress Katherine Heigl teased to People about what fans can expect . "It's pretty big, it's pretty juicy." There were times when it seemed like pure torture and anguish of mind to continue reading. It was very depressing, very few high spots throughout the whole book...of course until the end where everything sweetly came together.

Lucy Willows was a plain old teenage girl faced with this decision in ordinary circumstances: High School, boys, and her annoying little sister. Until one day she finds out some not so ordinary news, her dad has another kid. Not her or her sister. Another kid with another mom in the same town. Which means another life she had no idea about. Lucy finds herself in a terrible situation she could have never imagined. We the readers trudge alongside her while she tries to understand how her dad could do this to her family. She takes a ride on an emotional roller coaster she can’t escape. Due to her incredibly unfortunate news she is forced to make life changing decisions she would have never had to otherwise. She is forever changed from that moment on. What do you think the author, Kristin Hannah, is trying to convey through this experience of separateness and observation? Source: Unsplash First I want to thank Goodreads for selecting me as a winner of an advance reader's copy of Fly Away. Winning and getting to read a Kristin Hannah book before it has been released really made my year! Overall, “Fly Away” is a beautifully written and emotionally charged novel that explores the themes of love, loss, and forgiveness with great depth and sensitivity. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is compelling, making it a highly recommended read for fans of contemporary fiction. Fly Away Book Spoiler

Even as she vowed to pass by, she found herself turning, reaching for the door, going inside. She slipped into the dark, crowded interior and headed straight for the long mahogany bar. OVERALL: It's readable and interesting, but needed a few more developed characters for me to really like it. Lucy got on my last nerve and she was really the only person in this book, so for me it wasn't really a book I'd recommend. I found myself more interested in the story of Cloud, Tully's forsaken mother than the rest of the stories wound in this book. I was drawn in by her past and her future and am proud of all that she has gone through. It certainly makes me think twice before I judge a character on actions alone. Fly Away” is a novel by Kristin Hannah, published in 2013. It is a sequel to her earlier novel, “Firefly Lane,” and continues the story of the lifelong friendship between Kate Mularkey and Tully Hart. Meanwhile, Marah, Kate’s teenage daughter, is struggling to cope with her mother’s death. She turns to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain, and her relationship with her father becomes strained. Tully tries to help Marah, but her own problems threaten to get in the way.

Need Help?

She wanted to forget everything that had gone wrong with her life, and how it was that she'd ended up in a place like this, alone in a sea of strangers. Foarte interesant, mai ales perspectiva adolescentei(eu având copil adolescent probabil asta m-a impresionat cel mai tare) On a similar note, what is about understanding our origins, even when they are long gone, that can be so important to our sense of who we are?
