About this deal

They allow you to judge things in an objective, unbiased manner to an extent that I wouldn't previously have expected from a pair of headphones. It's a credit limit that's attached to your PayPal account which you can use for your online purchases.

Their impact-resistant plastic construction makes them lightweight, yet durable, and with their field-replaceable parts, including the pads and cable, they are in it for the long haul. Being able to discern the subtlest differences in pitch, timbre and tone helps you to get it right every mix, every take, every performance. Symphony Tech Limited is acting as a credit broker offering finance products from Omni Capital Retail Finance Limited. Below I will outline some of the considerations I certainly know I had when looking for studio headphones, and see how the 8400's match up. While they can't complete in terms refinement or natural sound in comparison to expensive hi-fi headphones, this is surely beside the point. The KRK KNS 8400 Headphones are purpose-built to match up with Focusrite's VRM Headphone Monitoring solution. Their increased midrange focus and lack of distracting bottom end thump helps singers and instrumentalists focus on pitch and melody. KRK Headphones provide a precise listening experience that takes you from personal studio to commercial studio to on-the-go track evaluations - and they allow you to accurately enjoy your music with the consistent voicing philosophy and honest reproduction top producers, studio musicians, performers and engineers have come to trust. They've provided me with an accurate, balanced mixing reference that I can use in all conditions - not just to mix, but also to edit, arrange and record my music. The closed-back, circumaural ("around the ear") design provides up to 30 dBA of isolation, which significantly reduces headphone "bleed" into the microphones when recording. In contrast, the KNS 8402 has a more extended and beautifully smooth high frequency response, very usable low frequency extension, a slightly subdued lower mid range and a present but not hyped upper mid range. Being able to discern the most subtle differences in pitch, timbre and tone helps you to get it right every mix, every take, every performance. Back then our aim was straightforward - provide technology products and services to the education, music, television and film markets.

Comfortable acoustic memory foam pads with premium leatherette covers provide exceptional comfort over long listening sessions. I have normal ears and a slightly larger head and have no complaints in either of those areas, the ear pads encompass my ears completely and isolate relatively well. While no match for a good pair of monitors, having a pair of headphones you can trust as a reference is invaluable, and the 8400's have so far proven excellent in that regard. I found that performers liked both KRK models for overdubs (split 50/50 between KNS 6400 and KNS 8400). The KRK KNS 8400 Headphones allow you to accurately enjoy your music with the consistent voicing philosophy and honest reproduction top producers, studio musicians, performers and engineers have come to trust.

Thanks to clever design by KRK's engineers, the KNS 8400 Headphones feature rotating earcups, making them perfect for one-sided DJ headphone mixing or for comfortable recording sessions. Excellent ambient noise isolation means they won't bleed into the mics when recording, and you won't be disturbed by external sounds while listening. Comfortable Isolation - The leatherette covered acoustic cellular foam pads provide comfort while the closed-back design delivers excellent ambient noise isolation. The same doesn't apply to the KNS 8402 and from a mixing perspective if anything there’s marginally too much bass, although this is by no means a dealbreaker. Two main factors that contribute to this are the aforementioned high-mid boost and the elevated bass that extends up to about 300 Hz and is followed up by an abrupt dip at 400 Hz.Having "One Voice" that consistently gives you accurate reproduction of your music or mix will help you achieve just what the artist intended—especially if the artist is you. It does cause very mild discomfort to where I find myself adjusting the position of the headband occasionally during longer periods of use. Don't get me wrong, I love my 780's for any sort of entertainment, but the response is far from flat and it can do more harm than help when trying to mix bass-heavy electronic music. The closed-back, circumaural (“around the ear”) design provides up to 30 dBA of isolation, which significantly reduces headphone “bleed” into the microphones when recording. Voiced to remain true to the character of KRK’s class leading studio monitors, developed with 25 years of years of experience in studio sound.

Though built with transparency and honest reproduction in mind, the closed back design and upgradable cable lengths make them well suited to tracking and editing, or any situation where isolation is important. The KNS 6402 has a very clear mid-range, reasonably subdued higher frequencies and not too much bass. When I bought my 8400's, I did not have a headphone monitoring solution and instead relied on my Ultrasone HFI-780's if I needed cans. With a very strong upper mid range…the low bass and extreme high end are certainly present…their comfort and punchy sound should make them very useful in a tracking situation, as all rounders for the studio, they definitely deserve consideration. This is what I'd expect; I'm used to listening to my ProAc speakers that are themselves highly revealing and provide a great deal of detail. I wish they didn't swivel because not many people need to like pack these in a suitcase flat so it's just another part to break or cause friction on the inner wire. With a maximum SPL of 124 dB, they’re capable of providing all the level you’ll ever need while remaining clear and detailed sounding, with very low distortion. KRK KNS 8400 Headphones provide incredibly natural frequency response that gives you a reference standard unaffected by your location.
