Questo equilibrio viene rotto quando fa irruzione nell'albergo Jonathan, un ragazzo umano che, onde evitare che potesse creare scompiglio nell'albergo visto la sua natura umana, verrà "ingaggiato" da Dracula per organizzare la festa di Mavis, evento che porterà ad una serie di grandi cambiamenti, tanto ai mostri residenti nell'albergo, quanto a Dracula e a Mavis.
